Who we are
EAYP was formed to identify, debate and lobby for issues involving the youth, in the context of development and also of the common identity of the EAC.
To create an enabling platform for effective youth participation and empowerment in developing and sustaining the East African Community.
We consult with relevant government, international and non-governmental organs to consult and lobby on issues involving the development of the youth. These engagements are done by members who may benefit by accessing opportunities offered in these engagements.
We have members across every constituency. Furthermore we have County Representatives/Governors heading their counties via county chapters to ensure we have grassroots presence and impact. This also makes issues non-partisan and equitable. We strive to maintain balance in our elected members.
We have community programs to instill and express youth responsibility to the society. This may range from health, community social responsibility acts, education, civic education, cleaning days, de-radicalisation programs, anti-drug abuse campaigns and other campaigns that we may decide on time to time.
We have established partnerships with many organisations. This is to enable us further our policy and implement some of our resolutions. These organisations range from Embassies, NGO,s, Government Ministries, Grassroots organisations among other several organisations.
